Turkey Hummus Cucumber Boats: 22g of Protein, No Cooking

Published November 2, 2026. General information, not medical advice.

Cold, crisp and salty is a combination that works for a lot of people on low-appetite days. These cucumber boats lean on it. The cucumber is the container, the hummus is the glue, and the turkey brings the protein.

They take about five minutes and there is nothing to cook.

What you need

  • 5 slices of deli turkey, chopped
  • 3 tbsp hummus
  • 1/2 cucumber, halved and scooped
  • 1 tbsp crumbled feta

How to make them

  1. Fill the cucumber halves with the hummus.
  2. Top with the turkey and the feta.

The numbers

About 22g of protein and about 260 calories for the whole plate. Values are approximate and vary with the brand of turkey and hummus.

On a queasy day

Skip the feta and eat the turkey and hummus as a roll-up instead. Keep it cold.

Good to know

This one is best eaten right away, because the cucumber releases water as it sits. If you want to prep ahead, keep the filling and the cucumber separate.
