Four No-Cook Protein Snacks You Can Make in Under Five Minutes

Published October 26, 2026. General information, not medical advice.

There are days when turning on the stove is the hardest part of eating. These four snacks need no cooking at all, and each takes five minutes or less. Each one is a single serving with roughly 21g to 24g of protein.

All numbers are approximate. Brands differ, so check your labels.

Tuna cracker bites

Mix 1 small can of tuna with 1 tbsp of plain Greek yogurt and a squeeze of lemon. Spoon it onto 4 whole wheat crackers. That is about 24g of protein and about 190 calories. If crackers feel like too much, eat the tuna mix with a spoon.

Cottage cheese and berry cup

Spoon 3/4 cup of 1% cottage cheese into a cup and top with 1/3 cup of berries and a drizzle of honey. That is about 23g of protein and about 170 calories. Blend the cottage cheese first if you prefer a smooth texture.

Edamame and cheese cup

Combine 2/3 cup of thawed shelled edamame, 1 cubed mozzarella stick and 1 tbsp of pumpkin seeds in a small cup, with a pinch of salt. That is about 22g of protein and about 250 calories. Warm the edamame lightly and leave out the seeds if you want it gentler.

Ham and cheese roll-ups

Spread 1 tbsp of cream cheese on 5 slices of deli ham, add cheddar and a few cucumber sticks, and roll them up. That is about 21g of protein and about 240 calories. They keep for a day in the fridge.

How to choose

If strong smells are the problem, pick the cottage cheese cup, which is cold and mild. If you want something salty and cold, pick the tuna or the roll-ups. If you want something with crunch, pick the edamame.
