Greek Yogurt Cocoa Pudding: 22g of Protein in Three Minutes
Published October 29, 2026. General information, not medical advice.
Sweet foods are often the easiest thing to eat when your appetite is small. The trick is to make the sweet thing carry some protein, so a few spoonfuls count for something.
This pudding is plain Greek yogurt stirred with cocoa and a little honey. It tastes like dessert, it is cold, and it takes three minutes.
What you need
- 3/4 cup plain nonfat Greek yogurt
- 1 tbsp unsweetened cocoa
- 2 tsp honey
- A drop of vanilla
How to make it
- Stir the cocoa and honey into the yogurt until smooth.
- Add the vanilla.
- Chill for about 10 minutes if you like it thicker.
The numbers
About 22g of protein and about 160 calories for the whole bowl. Values are approximate and change with the brand of yogurt.
On a queasy day
Serve it very cold and use less cocoa if strong flavors put you off. A smaller spoonful of something cold is often easier than a bowl of anything warm.
Storing it
It keeps for about 3 days, covered, in the fridge. Make it the night before and it is ready when you are.
